Studying here
The Human Rights Consortium is a centre for the promotion, facilitation and dissemination of human rights research. Research students at the Consortium are situated in an ideal place to access networks of scholars and attend stimulating events related to their research. As a student, your research will be supported by specialist supervisors in the field and you will be able to participate in a wide range of research training activities held by both the Human Rights Consortium and the School of Advanced Study, the UK's national research hub.
For prospective students with an interest in refugee issues, the Refugee Law Initiative is the UK's only academic centre concentrating specifically on international refugee law. It works to integrate the shared interests of refugee law scholars and practitioners and stimulate collaboration between them. It is therefore a hub for activities related to international refugee law, and research students studying here will have access to a wide range of seminars, workshops and conferences, as well as participation in wide-ranging international networks.
