Vacancy: Part-Time Sessional Lecturer for Securing Human Rights Modules

Friday 17 May 2013

Applications are invited for a part-time Sessional Lecturer for Securing Human Rights Modules, tenable from 1 September 2013 to 21 March 2014.

The Institute of Commonwealth Studies in the School of Advanced Study is home to the longest-running interdisciplinary and practice-orientated human rights MA programme in the UK, and our students benefit greatly from the participation of visiting researchers and guest speakers. As well as direct teaching of sessions of the module, a key aspect of this role will be to make efficient and effective arrangements for suitable guest lecturers.

You will also be expected to teach, to the highest standards, the modules ‘Securing Human Rights I’ and ‘Securing Human Rights II’ as part of the MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights. In addition, you will assist students on the module to place the contributions by guest lecturers in their appropriate academic, legal and/or practitioner context.

The application deadline is 27 May; please visit the University of London's Job Vacancies page for more information.
